The Introduction.

He was traveling through space to remote star system #osfs9981029wfSDfs after receiving a juicy tip that a Sagorian worm beast was reputed to be living on the second moon of the fifth planet. It has been terrorizing the local Jelloid species that were trying to colonize the planet.  The mindless beast will make a nice addition to the Galactic Zoo, the Zoo Keeper thought...  

Then the computer picked up an automated distress signal from a nearby star system. It looked like a competing keeper had crash landed on the hostile planet. Two words came into his mind, "Salvage Operation". Quickly he entered the beacon co-ordinates in to the navigational computer and sped off to the near by planet.  

Upon his arrival, he performs routine scans on the planet to check for life signs, and while scanning he discovered that the crashed craft was deserted. It lay in the deepest side of a large canyon on the edge of a tropical type jungle. Scans showed that there were signs of debris scattered throughout the length of the ravine, indicating that the space craft itself made had caused the ravine.

 ZK pondered this for a while and then decided to inspect the crash site more closely... A few minutes later, he approached the ravine over the giant tree tops of the jungle, banked to the right and passed down the length of the ravine looking for the best place to land. He found that the ground in the ravine was rather uneven and will pose difficulties when landing, so he decided to land in the scorched clearing at the entrance to the canyon and use the ATV while the landing pod returned to orbit.

 ZK entered the ravine by the clearing, squashing some puny rabbits in the process.... Now he was committed to the task and the ZK never turned back once he were committed, that's why he was so successful in his work. He made his way into the first section of the ravine rather uneventfully, observing scorch marks of two different colors on the walls of the ravine… interesting.

 Suddenly warning lights displayed on his Heads Up (HUD). Something was approaching and fast. Defensive maneuvers was applied and a droid appeared from behind a large piece of debri. ZK blasted away and destroyed it with two plasma bursts to it's neural cortex, the droid was more advanced than anything the ZK has ever seen before. It seemed like a new adventure was about to unfold!....

Very different design belonging to a third party enemy. This will be the smaller ship that crashed as mentioned in the intro story. Its only armament is four laser balls.

Planetary Drop Ship

 

This is a small specialized drop ship for inserting a single Assault ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) pod. The drop ship is unmanned and controlled by the ATV pilot and automated to orbit after drop-off.

Assault ATV Pod

Enemy Scout Droid

Light and fast with minor armor and armament but quick and great for scouting and early warning sentry work. Can be deadly in great numbers.

 A heavy wheeled vehicle with powerful plasma cannon cluster used for defensive or bombardment duty.

Serious hardware, heavy assault robot with rocket pods, rapid fire plasma cannon and heavy caliber Ion cannons. Do not mess with this baby.
